Employment legislation can be a nightmare.  The Employment Relations Act, the Human Rights Act, The Fair Trading Act and the Privacy Act 1993 are key pieces of legislation relating to the recruitment of employees.

Every employee must have a written employment agreement (employment contract). Failure to have an agreement / contract has attracted penalties in excess of $3000.
